Colman-Egan was handed three losses last week as the season begins to wind down. They lost to Viborg-Hurley, Arlington/Lake Preston and Deuel.
Tuesday they were to face Garretson at home and then travel to Volga to play the Sioux Valley Cossacks. Their season record stands at 3-12.
Vs. VH Monday
COLMAN – Viborg-Hurley scored in all seven innings against the Hawk on May 11 taking a 20-14 win.
They collaborated for 22 hits in the game all off Hawk pitcher Chloe Schmidt. She also walked eight and struck out seven and gave up a lone home run.
For the Hawks, Maebe Groos had three RBI off two hits and two walks. Groos batted out a triple and a single while Sadie McCorkle batted 5 for 5 with a double and four singles. Schmidt had four hits, a double and three singles.
Also with a pair of extra base hits was Sarah Voelker with a triple and double and earning a double was Harper Mousel
Vs. ALP & Deuel
ARLINGTON – The Hawks suffered a pair of losses in a triangular with Deuel and Arlington/Lake Preston on Friday evening.
The Cardinals came up big in the third inning tallying 11 of their runs in a 15-0 shut out. Colman-Egan’s bats were quite as they failed to get a hit and struck out 12 times. Three Hawks made it on base due to being hit by a pitch. Chloe Schmidt took the pitching loss allowing 13 hits.
Against A/LP, Colman-Egan got four hits including a home run off the bat of Maebe Groos but it wasn’t enough as they lost 9-3. Schmidt added a pair of singles along with Groos. Harper Mousel was the starter giving up 10 hits, but did strike out 10 A/LP batters.
