Fliers downed by Parker; win over Indian School

FLANDREAU The Fliers split in games on the volleyball court last week losing to Parker and taking a win over the Flandreau Indians on Friday.
Flandreau was at Castlewood on Tuesday and then will take part Region 2A post-season.
Earlier in the week, the Fliers held their annual Dig Pink Night, Tuesday. The stands were full of pink clothing and money was raised to fight cancer.
Flandreau lost though to the Parker Pheasants in three sets.
Set scores were 20-25, 11-25 and 15-25.
Aces were few but Nora Hamilton, Ella Hoffman and Lily Arnold each had one. Also scoring were Hoffman with seven kills, Rhegan Sheppard with six and Aly Schepel putting down five.
Addy Hammer in the libero position made 17 digs. Hoffman and Arnold both added 12.
Setting the players up were Schepel with nine assists and Hamilton with six.
In the battle of Flandreaus, the Fliers won over the Indians last Friday in the final Flier home volleyball game of the season.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-9 and 25-13.
Flandreau Fliers moved their record to – and the Indians fell to 8-12.
No other stats were available.
The Indians were to host Marty on Tuesday and then head to Regional play next week.
