CLARK Coming in with a low nine points, the Flier boys won the team title at the Clark/Willow Lake Invitational Cross Country meet held during unseasonably warm temperatures on September 25.
Madison was second with 17 points.
Flandreau came in the second through fourth positions. First in the chute for the boys was Logan Kontz who ran the 5000 meter raced in 19:00.37. Next was Sam Schmidt at 19:07.13 followed by Nate Hobbie with a time of 19:08.86.
Dylan Gerdes of Madison came in with a sizzling time of 17:37 to win the medalist honors.
The Fliers also placed Wyatt Kontz in eight (20:13.19).
Faith Wiese was first for the girls team which tied with Aberdeen Roncalli for fourth with a score of 27. Host C/WL was low with 19 points and Chamberlain was second at 21.
Wiese came in the finish with her time of 18:27.35 as the medalist.
Ninth place went to Calla Wiese at 22:16.55 and 18th place was awarded to Tenley LeBrun with ta time of 23:07.16.
The boys JV team was led by Tayte Joachims with his fifth place run of 10:12.49 and Creighton Arnett with a 10th place finish at 10:52.88. The girls top finishers were Genesis Martin (11:53.10) and Willow Stephens (12:00.29) taking fourth and fifth.
Louis Gauthier and Wakinyan Brushbreaker and Isabel Kulm, Rona Streitz and Hailey Lahr all came in the top 25 for the boys and girls JV teams.
