Gang tops Cardinals

FLANDREAU The Canova Gang took a big win over the Flandreau Cardinals on Tuesday, July 1 at Cardinal Field, 17-8.
Flandreau tallied 11 hits with Jacob Patterson batting 3-for-5, all singles, and an RBI. Brian McGuire added two singles and two RBI and doubles came off the bats from Grant Hieb, Austin King and Tim Huber.
Dallas Schneiderman took the loss on the mound in five innings of work. He gave up nine runs off 13 hits and struck out two. Luke Gassman pitched the next three innings and gave up four runs off four hits. Noel Burgos closed the game allowing thre more hits and four runs.
The Cardinals had a good sixth inning with five runs scored.
The Gang amassed 20 team hits.
Flandreau is now 7-8 on the year and will host Salem on Tuesday, July 8 and then head to Dell Rapids to take on PBR on Thursday. Sundays game returns to Flandreau against the Colman As. First pitch is 5 pm.
