HUMBOLDT The Flandreau Blue Teal ended a high-scoring Corn Belt League game on the losing end Sunday dropping a 17-9 game to the Hartford/Humboldt Woodducks.
Despite the loss, Kolby Peters had a good night at the plate batting 4-for-5 all coming as one-base hits and earning him three RBI.
Both teams garnered 15 hits.
Starting pitcher for Flandreau was Tristan Peters going three innings and taking the loss. He allowed nine hits and five runs and struck out five Woodducks.
He was relived by Emmott Nathan who gave up 10 runs over his three innings of work off four hits and five walks.
Mason Riley pitched a good inning striking out two batters and then Dane Mediger closed out the final frame. The Woodducks hit him twice and scored twice.
Mediger and Michael Witte both doubled and a scattering of Blue Teal had the rest of the 15 hits.
Last Thursdays home against the Colman As was halted after one inning due to rain. No make-up date has been set.
