Colman-Egan girls state representatives

The Colman and Egan Units of the American Legion Auxiliary are proud to sponsor, from left, Sadie McCorkle, Brynlee Landis, and Sarah Voelker to this years Girls State. South Dakota Girls State will be held on the University of South Dakota Campus from May 25-29, 2025.
Girls State is a selective citizenship training program for high school junior girls. Founded in 1947 by the American Legion Auxiliary, it uses practical experience to teach about government processes from the local to the state level, emphasizing the responsibilities of each individual as a citizen of democracy.
