Downtown Flandreau was unusually quiet early Monday as subzero winter temperatures settled in, paired with the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday giving many the day off and a reason to stay cozied up at home. With the breeze, the feels like temp on Monday was -34. Frigid temperatures are expected to hang around through Tuesday when a warm up begins. Sunday mornings low was -14. Wednesdays high is expected to be in the upper 20s.
