Border Bash brings Minnesota teams to Colman gym

COLMAN Brynlee Landis hit the 1000 point career mark while Kaylee Voelker set a new school record for the Colman-Egan Hawks while hosting the Border Bash Classic on Saturday.
Girls
The Hawks girls faced Luverne, Minnesota and dumped in 71 points to the Cardinals 39 to raise their season record to 11-2.
Voelker led all scorers with 28 points shooting 55 percent from the field and setting a new school record eight 3-pointers.
Landis followed Voelkers high game with a 19 point performance. Both girls brought down six rebounds.
CE led after one period, 24-13 and the scored was 39 to 26 at the half. After three quarters of play, it was 53-34.
On defense, Presley Luze, and Mya Rieff both had three steals.
Boys
The boys were edged by the Patriots, 48-46.
No other stats were available.
Colman-Egan now has a record of 4-5.
