The Flandreau Flier volleyball team lost to top impressive teams last week and participated in the Lake Preston Tourney
FLANDREAU The Fliers drop the match in five sets to a tall Garretson squad on Tuesday, September 17.
Scores were 14-25, 25-23, 15-25, 28-26 and 12-15.
Sadie Iott and Ella Hoffman each had a serving aces and they also led in kills with Iott putting down 17 and Hoffman, eight.
Hannah Krull made two blocks and Hoffman, one.
Aly Schepel put up 31 assists and Morgan Kontz and Iott both had 27 digs.
BALTIC Thursday, the Fliers were swept by the Bulldogs in three sets: 25-21, 25-12, 25-9. No other stats were made available.
LAKE PRESTON The Fliers participated in the Iroquois-Lake Preston tourney on Saturday. No stats were available, but the team lost to DeSmet, 1-2 and to Estelline-Hendricks, 0-2.
Tuesday, the Fliers hosted McCook Central/Montrose and Thursday, theyll head to Dell Rapids to take on the undefeated Quarriers. Monday, they host Deuel and Tuesday go to Elkton to face Elkton-Lake Benton.
The Fliers now have a season record of 3-12.
This week, they hosted McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday, travel to Dell Rapids on Thursday, host Deuel on Monday and at Elkton-Lake Benton, Tuesday.
