Boys fifth at LCC; take seventh at BEC meets

LCC Meet
LAKE REGION– A cold windy day greeting the golfers at the Lake Central Conference golf meet held at the Lake Region Golf Course near Lake Poinsett.
The Fliers did not have any girls in the event while the boys team came in fifth at 292.
Clark/Willow Lake won both the boys (251) and girls (262) team championships.
The boys medalist was Cade Gaikowski of CWL who fired a low 80. Brynn Roehrich, also from CWL, shot the low 76 to take the medalist spot.
The Fliers’ top two golfers were Hunter Bushkofsky shooting a 93 and Jett Ramsdell with a 94. They placed 14th and 15th respectively. Bryson LeBrun came in 27th.


BEC Meet
CHESTER – Despite being a bit windy, the temperatures and weather conditions were much more favorable at the Big East Conference meet held at The Lakes Golf Course, Friday, May 8.
Senior Madison Bushkofsky, the lone Flier for the girls, had a good day on the course firing an 82 to place third among the 21 golfers.
Her brother Hunter shot an 83 for ninth place for the boys team. Seventh grader Jett Ramsdell also placed earning 13 carding an 88. Bryson LeBrun turned in a 112 on the day.
The boys team was seventh with a 283. Beresford won the title with a 234.
