Two losses on the amateur diamond were handed to the Flandreau Blue Teal last week. They lost to Madison and the Dell Rapids Mudcats.
The Blue Teal will now host H/H Gamecocks on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and close out Corn Belt League action Sunday in a 5 p.m. contest at Dell Rapids PBR. District 4B begins July 19 in Humboldt.
The Blue Teal’s season record is now 6-11.
Broncos 18, Blue Teal 9
MADISON – Kolby Peters had two hits go over the fence but the Flandreau Blue Teal could not get the win over the Madison Broncos and took an 18-9 loss.

Mudcats 15, Blue Teal 9
FLANDREAU – The Teal took another loss this time to the bats of Dell Rapids’ Mudcats falling 15-9 in 10 innings.
The Blue Teal had a five run ninth inning to knot the game at eight but the Mudcats roared back in the top of the 10th and held Flandreau to only ine run to seal the win.
At the plate, 14 hits were spread out among eight batters with Brayden Byrum batting 3 for 6. Kolby Peters had a home run and Mason Riley had a double for the Blue Teal’s extra base hits.
Peters took the mound loss. He came in relief for starter Tash Lunday who threw four and two-thirds innings giving up three runs off five hits.
Peters gave away seven hits and eight runs which included three Mudcat home runs, and Byrum threw an inning with two hits and four runs. The Blue Teal pitchers combined for 14 hits, 11 walks and struck out eight.
The game was error filled. The Mudcats had five and the Blue Teal four.
