Flier Fall Sports meeting set Aug. 3

Flandreau Public School encourages students in grades 7–12 who plan to participate in cross country, football, volleyball, or cheerleading, along with their parents or guardians, to attend the annual Fall Sports Meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.
The meeting will cover key information for the upcoming season, including eligibility requirements, schedules, team expectations, athletic training services, and communication procedures. Families will also have the opportunity to meet coaches, review the activities handbook, and ask questions.
Before practicing, all student-athletes must have a completed SDHSAA Pre-Participation Form Packet, including a physical examination by a licensed health care provider, on file with the Activities Director. Families are encouraged to bring completed forms to the meeting. Those unable to attend may submit them to the high school office.
Pre-Participation Form Packets are available on the Flandreau Public School website under Activities > Athletic Forms, as well as in the high school office and at the meeting.
Student-athletes must also complete a baseline concussion test before the first practice. Testing dates will be announced in late July.
