Crystal Theatre, FAHOF to conduct Talent Show
The Flandreau Athletic Hall of Fame committee, partnering with the Crystal Theatre Cultural Association, will conduct a Talent Contest on June 17 & 18 & 20 at the Crystal Theatre.
“Talent Showcase at the Crystal” will have cash prizes. But first, they need the acts. Applications will be accepted from acts in a 60-mile radius around Flandreau or for someone who has a Flandreau connection/family. Nonrefundable $20 entry fee will apply. Up to 5 minutes per act. Variety is encouraged.
First, auditions will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18. There will be a limit up to 15 acts each night. Then, depending on interest, 8-12 acts will move on to the finals on Saturday, June 20.
Acts are limited to those who are older than seventh grade and each performer will need to sign a waiver or have a parent/guardian sign on.
“We encourage a variety of talent acts that are rated PG/PG13,” said FAHOF Executive Director Stuart Zephier.
“Restrictions include no fire, firearms, explosives or extremely dangerous acts. This is a family friendly event.”
Performances will take place 7-9 pm each night of competition.
