ARLINGTON: The Colman-Egan girls team was victorious at the Dakota Valley Conference track and field meet held May 14 in Arlington.
The Hawks scored 132 points, just nicking DeSmet who scored 131 with Dells St. Mary’s not far behind at 126.
The boys team title was taken by Elkton-Lake Benton with 184.5 points with the closest competitor as St. Mary’s with 145 points. The Hawk boys fell to sixth place with 55.5 points.
Jolie Flatten, Avery Baumberger, Brynlee Landis and Crystal Silva-Dominguez all took home three gold DVC medals as members of the girls team.
Flatten won the 100, 400 and anchored the 4×400. Sophomore Silva-Dominguez took the 200 meter dash and was a member of both the 4×100 and the medley.
Baumberger and Landis were the other two members of the 4×100, 4×200 and the medley relays. Also on these winning relays were Finley Luze (4×200) and Michoen Williamson (4×100).

DELL RAPIDS – The Colman-Egan girls placed fourth with 90 points and the boys placed eighth with 34.
Taking first place was the boys 4×400 relay team of Landon McManus, Cruz Luze, Rowdy Bowen and Zach Pederson turning in a score of 3:40.12.
The girls team had five first place finishes led by Crystal Silva-Dominguez’s win in the 200 and as a member of three relay teams. She ran to a 26.51 time in the 200 meter dash then joined with Finley Luze, Michoen Williamson and Brynlee Landis to take the 4×100 relay with a time of 50.55.
The Medley relay team of Silva-Dominguez, Quinn Meyer, Jolie Flatten and Landis won in a time of 4:23.21 and the 4×400 team of Luze, Silva-Dominguez, Flatten and Landis clocked a time of 4:10.03.
Also winning a gold on the day was Hawk high jumper Meyer who won with a jump of 5’1”.
