FREEMAN – In only her second meet of the year, Quinn Meyer won the javelin tossing it 109’8” and took second in the high jump at 4’10”. Meyer also placed in the long jump and 100 meter dash for a four medal day.
The speedy foursome of Avery Baumberger, Finley Luze, Crystal Silva-Dominguez and Jolie Flatten won the 4×200 relay (1:47.18) and replacing Baumberger for Brynlee Landis, won the 4×400 relay in a time of 4:27.04.
The Hawks had three more second place medals won by the girls team. On the track, Anya Hemmer was second in the 300 hurdles, and in the field events, Michoen Williamson in shot and Emmalyn Pickard in the discus, both were runners-up.
Top finisher for the boys was 100 meter dash runner Hayden Pearson who placed second in a time of 12.08.
As a team, the girls tied for second with Deubrook Area scoring 108 each. Freeman won the title with 133 points. The Hawk boys scored 37 points for ninth place with the host Freeman again winning the team title scoring 120 points.
As of Sunday, April 26, the Hawks 4×200 relay team stood atop the Class B performance lists. They are also second in the 4×100 and 4×400. Flatten leads the 400 Class B list.
The Tom Main Relays in Chester were cancelled Saturday due to cold and rain.

BERESFORD – The Hawk girls won three of five relays at the Mike Seivert Invitational hosted by Beresford on Tuesday, April 21.
The 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 relays were champions. Team members were Avery Baumberger, Finley Luze, Brynlee Landis, Crystal Silva-Dominguez and Jolie Flatten.
Also winning first were Anya Hemmer in the 300- hurdles and Flatten in the open 400 race.
The boys’ top finishers were the 4×100 and 4×200 relays with members Hayden Pearson, Landon McManus, Mikano Lee, Caden Zwart and Zach Pederson. They took second in both relays.
