BERESFORD – Flandreau was a participant in the Mike Sievert Relays held Tuesday, April 21 for the only meet of the week.
This week, the Fliers will be at O’Gorman and Howard Wood Dakota Relays on Friday and then only at HWDR on Saturday.
At Beresford, the boys had a two champions in the long jump with Tucker Hemmer and Tate Hammer both leaping 19’6”. Hemmer was given the gold medal.
For the girls, Faith Wiese ran the mile in 5:05.37 to win the event handily over her competition. The medley relay team of Ella Hoffman, Rhegan Sheppard, Kiley Westberry and Wiese were gold medal winners taking the race in a time of 4:18.54 which sets them as number two in Class A top performances list.
Wiese sits in second in the 800, 1600 and 3200 in Class A lists.
No team scores were kept.
