COLMAN – Flandreau racked up 17 hits holding Colman-Egan to one in a 21-7 win Friday at Colman’s Field of Dreams.
Pitcher Aly Schepel threw all five innings for the Fliers. She struck out four and walked six.
At the plate, Addy Hammer batted 4 for 5 and made two RBI. Her hits included a double. Getting a triple were Schepel Also getting an extra base hit were Makenzie Gregory and Nora Hamilton with a double.
For the Hawks, Chloe Bryan had the lone hit but she got a good enough piece to get a triple.
Harper Mousel was the starting pitcher allowing 19 runs off 15 hits and six walks while striking out four Fliers.
The Fliers now have a season record of 6-1; Colman-Egan sits at 1-6.
This week, the Hawks were to host McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday, traveled to ORR on Friday and then had to Sioux Falls Christian on May 5.
Flandreau has a host of home games this week. They host Deuel on Tuesday and McCook Central/Montrose on Friday.
Saturday, the Flier Booster Club will host an invitational in the Flandreau City Park. The schedule is as follows:
9:30 am North Field – Flandreau s. Hanson; South Field – Sioux Valley vs. SF Christian
11 am North Field – Wagner vs. Hanson; South Field – MCM vs. SV
12:30 pm North Field – Flandreau vs. Wagner; South Field – SFC vs. MCM
2 pm North Field – 3rd place game; South Field – 5th place game
3:30 pm North Field – Championship Game
