Grand Opening set Friday at new ECEC

New road, new sidewalks – Grand Opening Friday
A long-awaited reopening is ahead for the part of Community Drive between Flandreau Public Schools, William Janklow Community Center/City of Flandreau Armory and the Boys & Girls Club campus. It has been closed during construction of the Boys & Girls Club’s Early Childhood Enrichment Clubhouse. That project is now completed and The Clubhouse’s Grand Opening is this Friday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., all part of a broader push to expand childcare and support working families in the community. The project also brings improved sidewalks near the community center and a fresh updated look to the entire area.

Even if you don’t have children, Friday is the day to see the inside of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains Moody County’s new Early Childhood Enrichment Clubhouse located jut west end of the Flandreau Public Schools campus and south of the Flandreau Armory/Wm Jankow Community Center.
A grand opening is set for Friday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 803 W. Community Dr. There will be a ribbon cutting, lunch and a chance to walk through the space and see what’s been built.
Doors officially open in May and will serve childcare for children ages six weeks to kindergarten. Daily hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to provide care for children whose parents may not work typical 9 to 5 hours.
The staff looks forward to showing everyone the new complex.
