LENNOX – The Flandreau girls had success at a highly competitive Lennox Invitational last week placing in all three relays they participated and winning one.
And she doesn’t have too many more chances to keep breaking her own school record, but senior Faith Wiese is seemingly on a mission to keep doing it.
Last Thursday, Wiese lowered her own 800 meter run record – not by much, but considering the windy conditions on the track – it was a great feat.
She placed second in a time of 2:16.19 lowering her old record of 2:16.67.
And joining her teammates Rhegan Sheppard, Morgan Sheppard and Kiley Westberry, the foursome won the 4×400 relay to close out the meet in a winning time of 4:08.83.
Taking second in the 4×200 relay were Westberry, Ella Hoffman and the Sheppard sisters in a time of 1:50.17 and the same foursome were third in the 4×100 relay at 52.58.
For the boys division, winning the top Flier medal was the medley relay team taking second place. Running the race were Jacob Mohr, Jake Hamilton, Wyatt Kontz and Sam Schmidt. Their time was 3:54.10.
No team scores were kept but the Fliers competed against the likes of powerhouse Sioux Falls Christian, West Central, Lennox and Madison.
