Pay your taxes early…MAIL SOON
Moody County property owners have until April 30th to pay the first half of their 2025 due in 2026 real estate and mobile home taxes without a penalty. The 2025 taxes can be paid at the county treasurer’s office, located on the 1ST floor of the courthouse between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also have a drop box outside of the South entrance. Payments can also be mailed to the treasurer’s office but must be postmarked no later than April 30th. Interest at the rate of 10% will be added to all delinquent taxes.
Please consider mailing your tax payment early to allow for processing. Remember that the post office only postmarks mail once it is received at a processing center. If the payment isn’t received in the Treasurer’s Office by Thursday, April 30th, it must have a valid postmark to be considered timely. You may want to have your mail stamped at your local post office to make sure it has a valid postmark. Receipts will be returned to you if you enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope.
