FLANDREAU- Sioux Valley launched a come back and overtook the Flier girls last Friday narrowly winning 50-46.
The Fliers led most of the game until the final few minutes.
The game opened with the Fliers falling behind 16-9 after a period of play but they took a 25-22 lead into the locker room. Both teams scored 12 points in third quarter. Midway through the fourth, the Fliers lead by five points and at the minute mark, held a 46-45 lead. Sioux Valley wasn’t settling and put in four points down the stretch to seal their win.
The Fliers were paced in scoring by Morgan Sheppard with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Rhegan Sheppard chipped in with nine points giving out three assists.
The Cossacks were led by a 25-point effort from Kailey Cradduck.
Sioux Valley topped the Fliers in the JV contest, 54-36. Rona Streitz connected on 13 points with Nora Hamilton and Calla Wiese scoring eight.
