COLMAN – The Hawk girls flew by Bridgewater-Emery last Monday, Feb. 2 in a 62-37 win on their home court.
Shooting 46.2% from the field, the Hawks found the net 24 of 52 attempts. The Huskies shot 30.2 %.
Colman-Egan opened with a 16-7 first quarter lead, extended it to 33-16 and then dumped in 19 third quarter points to lead 52-30 heading into the final quarter where they outscored the visitors 10 to 7.
The Hawks had two player go over 20 points with Brynlee Landis scoring 24 and Jolie Flatten making 21. Mya Reiff netted 10 points and had a double-double with 13 rebounds. She also gave away four assists.
Each team had 11 fouls. And the Hawks won the rebound battle grabbing 35 – 26 on defense – to the Huskies’ 23.
