Hawks return to SoDak 16

Head Coach Abigail Dockter and her Colman-Egan volleyball are headed back to the SoDak 16 after sweeping through the Regional tournament last week. The Hawks earned a bye in the first round, before shutting out Sioux Falls Lutheran and Sanborn Central-Woonsocket
In the SoDak 16, the Hawks are seeded 14th and will play Warner on Tuesday evening in Huron. Theyll look to return to the Class B State Tournament in Rapid City, November 20-22, for the sixth straight year. Results of Tuesdays SoDak game will be in next weeks paper.

SALEM In the finals of Region 3B play, the #3 seed Hawks won over #7 seed Sioux Falls Lutheran in thrilling fashion using scores of 25-20, 25-19 and going to five match set points at 31-29 to earn the right to advance to the SoDak 16.
Caelee LeBrun and Brynlee Landis joined forces at the net pounding down 15 kills each in the win. Scoring also came from Kinley Geigle with two aces.
Finley Luze was the setter putting up 40 for the hitters. She also had five blocks while Mya Reiff and Michoen Williamson both made four
On defense, Landis received 20 digs and Geigle took 10.

BRIDGEWATER Earlier in the week, the Hawks swept #7 Sanborn Central-Woonsocket in the second round of Region 3B to advance to the next round against Sioux Falls Lutheran. Colman-Egan had a first round bye.
Topping the scoring was Finley Luzes 26 seven points via the ace and Brynlee Landis 12 kills.
Luze also made 26 set assists. Caelee LeBrun made two serving aces and had nine kills.
In the dig department, Mauryn Landis had eight, Mya Reiff had seven and Kinley Geigle added six.
