While Halloween festivities kicked off this past weekend, several more family-friendly Trunk-or-Treats are planned in Flandreau this week.
Royal River Casino & Hotel opened its doors to costumed visitors Sunday, transforming the Royal Room into a trick-or-treat haven filled with candy, games, and plenty of smiles from little ghouls and goblins.
Colman also hosted its second annual community-wide Trunk-or-Treat that same evening. Perfect fall weather drew hundreds to the Colman Campground, where side-by-sides, golf carts, trailers, and trunks were decked out for the occasion.
A few creative trick-or-treaters even dressed to celebrate the road construction crews whove been a familiar sight all summer. (Shown below.) Parents, meanwhile, celebrated something else entirely easier access to the campground with construction nearing completion after months of detours.
Trunk-or-Treats continue to grow in popularity, giving families a safe, fun, and often daylight opportunity to enjoy the holiday especially for the youngest candy seekers.

Boys & Girls Club of Moody County The Club will host its own Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 4:306 p.m. in the Club parking lot. The Club is located on the far west end of the public school campus.
Colman Senior Center While not a Halloween event, volunteers invite the community to an Open House to showcase recent renovations on Oct. 30, from 47:30 p.m.
Staff at the Moody County Resource Center invite trick or treaters to the library on Halloween from 5 to 8 p.m.
