You may notice new posts and freshly mounted signs along downtown and residential routes in Flandreau as crews continue wrapping up signage work ahead of the colder weather.
Crews from Hamm Contracting of Sioux Falls were in town this past Friday installing and replacing street signage across the community.
The work included everything from new disability-accessible parking markers to updated wayfinding and ordinance-based signs aimed at improving safety and consistency throughout town.
City officials said the updates are a routine part of modernizing infrastructure and ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
The team has been working its way slowly across the state on similar projects, Flandreau is one of the last to see the upgrades.
