ARLINGTON It was a slow start, but Colman-Egan took off in the second quarter and raced past the Arlington Cardinals Friday night, 50-0.
They racked 28 second quarter points, 10 in the third and closed out the game with 12 points in the final quarter.
From the quarterback position, sophomore Zach Pederson had 15 carries and 151 yards, scored three touchdowns and passed for another. He totaled 83 yards through the air.
His senior teammate Hayden Pearson carried the ball eight times for 97 yards, scored two touchdowns and also pounced on the ball for a safety in the third quarter.
Rowdy Bowen and Julian Allen also both scored touchdowns for the Hawks who improved to 4-3 on the season.
Also on the ground, Mason Wright chalked up 56 yards off seven carries.
Receiving Pedersons passes were Logan Claflin nabbing two for 24 yards, Bowen and Dalin Billimeier also caught two for 15 yards and Behnke caught one for 15 yards. Allens lone catch was an 11 yard touchdown.
Clayton Bohlman recorded a sack and with six tackles each, Kale McLaughlin, Thomas Loehr and Pearson led the defense. Behnke had five tackles.
The Hawks will close out the regular season at home on Friday hosting Iroquois/Lake Preston at 7 p.m.
