The Colman-Egan Hawks moved their second record to 14-2 with wins over Howard and Castlewood last week.
CASTLEWOOD Colman-Egan won the first set, lost the second and then went on to take sets three and four. Scores were 25-21, 18-25, 25-17 and 25-17 on October 2.
Finley Luze set up 26 assists to Brynlee Landis 16 kills and Caelee LeBruns 13 at the net.
Both Landis and Kinley Geigle had 11 digs. Michoen Williamson added seven kills and made seven blocks.
From the service line, LeBrun and Landis each had two aces while Luze racked up four unanswered serves.
Over the past couple weeks, Landis, a Colman-Egan senior, recorded her 1000th career dig and then 1000th kill for her time on the Hawks court.
HOWARD Earlier in the week, the Hawks blanked the Tigers in set scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-16 on the Howard court.
The win moved the Hawks to 5-0 in Dakota Valley Conference play.
Landis added to her kills count with 10 on the night and led the team in digs with seven. LeBrun had five digs, seven kills and served up three aces. Williamson was a force at the net with four blocks. Luze contributed with six set assists and Hannah Grann put up five.
Geigle led the Hawks serving attack with four aces.
Monday, the Hawks hosted Class B No. 1 Chester Area in what was sure to be a good matchup. They have a long time off then as they dont return to the court until Tuesday, October 14 at Bridgewater-Emery and then host ORR on October 16.
