FIS wraps up Homecoming week

Flandreau Indian School was the last of the three county school districts to celebrate Homecoming this fall, wrapping up a week of activities this past Friday.
Students took part in theme dress-up days, competitions that included a hot wing and cake eating contest, a bowling night in Brookings, fall sports events, and a Homecoming dance, among other activities.
The FIS football team faced the Marty Indians Thursday night on the Flandreau Fliers home field, falling 56-14. The loss marked Flandreau Indians 12th straight defeat and ended Martys six-game road losing streak.
