Flandreau fell in both volleyball matches on the week being blanked from winning a set.
McCook Central Montrose and Class A number one rated Dell Rapids were the victors.
The Fliers dropped their season record to 5-12.
SALEM Final set scores were 20-25, 16-25 and 24-26.
Aly Schepel and Ella Hoffman served up three and two aces respectively and Hoffman added six kills at the net. Hannah Krull made five kills and Addy Hammer brought up 22 digs. All four of those players are seniors for Coach Julia Fargen.
Schepel also aided the effort with four kills, three assists and 16 digs.
Junior Nora Hamilton led the team with eight assists and she followed Hammer with 16 digs.
FLANDREAU The Fliers had a difficult time getting the offense going against No. 1 Dell Rapids. Set scores were 18-25, 15-25 and 7-25.
Krull and Hoffman both had four kills, Hammer made 14 digs, and Schepel and Hamilton both had two set assists. Krull came up with two blocks and Schepel and Hammer each had an ace.
Division I commit Madelynn Henry had 15 kills for the Quarriers.
Thursday, the Fliers are at the Cossack Center in Volga to take on Sioux Valley and then head to Beresford next Tuesday.
