Rescheduled fireworks set for Saturday

The skies over Flandreau will light up this weekend.
A reminder that the fireworks show originally planned for the Fourth of July outside of Royal River Casino and Hotel will now take place Saturday night, hosted once again by the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe.
Organizers say the community can expect the same high-quality display that has become a highlight of the summer.
This years show was called off at the last minute not necessarily because of the steady rain that fell that night, rather it was cancelled over a technical issue on the ground with the fireworks themselves. Out of caution, the decision was made to postpone.
This weekend, with a forecast that looks near perfect, the stage is set for the show to finally go forward. Fireworks are expected Saturday at nightfall.
Families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and enjoy the long-awaited holiday tradition.
