Hawks shut out by Avon Pirates

AVON Zach Pederson recovered three Avon fumbles but the Pirates blanked Colman-Egan 38-0 in the season opener of 9B.
From under center, Pederson passed twice for 19 yards. Hayden Pearson was on the ground with 14 carries for 51 yards.
On defense, the Hawks were led by Thomas Loehr with nine tackles, Dalin Billmeier with eight and Landon McManus with seven.
This week, the Hawks are on the road again; this time, Friday in a 7 p.m. at Canistota.
