Sheldon Reddemann, age 88

Sheldon Reddemann, age 88, died July 13, 2025.
A memorial service was held Saturday, July 18 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mesa, AZ.
Sheldon was born on February 7, 1937, to Orbe and Dorothy Reddemann in Tyrone Township, LeSueur County, Minnesota.
Sheldon attended a small country school, always saying he had to walk uphill both ways, and later graduated from LeSueur High School. He proudly served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962, receiving an honorable discharge after completing his service at Fort Bliss, Texas. He married Donna Greenhoff, July 10, 1965 in Flandreau.
Throughout his life, Sheldon held various jobs, and in 1964, he accepted a position as a grain elevator manager in Howard Lake, Minnesota, working for Peavey and Munson Feed/Lakes Nutrition. He remained in that role 35 years before retiring in 1999.
In addition to his career, Sheldon dedicated 25 years of service as a volunteer firefighter and served 13 years on the Howard Lake City Council.
After spending several winters in Mesa, Arizona, he and Donna made it their permanent home and enjoyed many years in the Greenfield Glenn community.
He was a devoted father to Michelle Hofer (Glenn), Renee Ellison (Rod) and fittingly born on fishing opener weekend, his son, Jay (Teresa).
Sheldon is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna and sister, Corinne Swanson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kayla Nowak (Adam), Jamie Hofer (Tristan Hendrickson), Kade Reddemann and August Reddemann. Great grandchildren, Amelia and Atlee Nowak and David and Lilith Hendrickson.
