The Blue Teal and Colman As began where they left off on Monday, July 14 from a June 5 rained-out game and the Teal came out on top, 15-4 in Cornbelt action.
With the score 1-0 in favor of Colman, the game had been suspended due to heavy rains that day.
In the make-up game, the As scored in the top of the second while the Blue Teal batted out seven runs in both halves of the second and third innings. They added another in the bottom of the fourth to complete their scoring drive. The As batted in two runs in the top of the seventh but it wasnt enough.
Flandreau was led by Kolby Peters with three singles. Micah Otto, Mason Riley and Emmott Nathan all had doubles in the game at the Blind on the Big Sioux. Riley and Nathan both added another single.
Tash Lunday had three RBI off his lone single. Michael Witte, Nathan and Riley all had two RBI.
The Blue Teal collected 14 hits and the As had 10.
Leading the As were Paul Clark batting 3-for-4 with an RBI and left fielder Corey Roach going 2-of-4 at the plate. They both had doubles along with the pitcher Tate Helmboldt.
Tristan Peters earned the Blue Teal win on the mound facing 14 batters in three innings. They both gave up two runs off five hits and struck out two.
Helmboldt was the losing pitcher for the As allowing 14 Blue Teal runs off 10 hits. He was relieved by Clark for three and two-thirds inning who allowed the final run and gave up four hits and struck out three.
Colman made four errors in the contest.
