Flandreaus Blue Teal went 1-2 over the weeks action falling to Colman, 15-14, then defeating the Woodducks, 10-5 before taking a late game loss to the Gamecocks, 5-3.
Colman 15, Flandreau 14
COLMAN A Blue Teal error in the bottom of the ninth broke a 14-all tie giving the Colman As a 15-14 win over Flandreau.
Flandreaus bats were strong with 19 hits. Mason Riley was on fire batting 5-of-6 with two RBI. All of Rileys hits were singles. Tanner Christenson (one double) and Tristan Peters (two doubles) both had three hits. Also earning two-base hits were Kolby Peters and Dane Mediger.
The Blue Teal had five fielding errors.
Riley was the starter for the Blue Teal throwing only two innings before being relieved for an inning by Emmott Nathan. Tash Lunday took the loss in 5.2 innings of work.
For the As, they combined for seven hits. Roach was the winning pitcher in 5.2 innings of work striking out 10 Teal.
Flandreau 10, H/H Woodducks 5
FLANDREAU The Blue Teal got back in the win column in a 10-5 contest over the Humboldt/Hartford Woodducks on Thursday.
The Woodducks opened the game with four runs and the Teal answered with seven and never looked back.
Kolby Peters pitched the nine inning game striking out seven, walking four and giving up five runs off seven hits.
Michael Witte batted 3-for-5 with two doubles. Peters also had a double. Micah Otto and Dane Mediger both had a pair of singles.
H/H Gamecocks 5, Flandreau 3
HUMBOLDT The Blue Teal led 3-2 heading into the bottom of the eighth but allowed the Gamecocks three runs to top the locals, 5-3 on Sunday.
Sam Gassman pitched for the Blue Teal throwing seven and a third innings. He was hit for all 11 Gamecock hits and gave up the five runs. Gassman struck out five. Tanner Christenson finished the last two-thirds of the inning with one strike out.
Flandreau got six hits in the game with Emmott Nathan and Matthew Gassman each batting out a double.
The Teal, 8-10, will play the Cardinals, 9-9, on Friday evening to close out the regular season. Monday they were to finish a postponed game with Colman.
