The Flandreau Blue Teal found themselves on the wrong end of two games last week.
They lost to Madison 5-3 in walk-off fashion and then were downed by the Dell Rapids Mudcats in make-up game on Sunday, 7-2.
MADISON Flandreaus Blue Teal dropped down in the Cornbelt standings with a loss to the Madison Broncos on Tuesday, July 1 as the Broncos had a 2 run walk off home run to break a tie and win 5-3.
The bats were quiet for most of the game as the Blue Teal had only seven hits and the Broncos, five.
Tash Lunday pitched seven and two-thirds innings. He allowed three runs off four hits while striking out seven Broncos. Kolby Peters came in and gave up a lone hit the winning home run.
Dane Mediger led the Teal with two hits, a double and single and Lunday also batted out a double earning him two RBI.
The loss give the Blue Teal a season record of 7-7 and a Cornbelt record of 6-6 setting them in sixth place in the standings.
FLANDREAU The game was the second half of a doubleheader that was rescheduled. The Teal had the open field so the Mudcats came to Flandreau for the contest.
The Teal scored the opening two runs in the top half of the first but could do no more.
Emmott Nathan and Tash Lunday both had the RBI coming off singles.
Tristan Peters took the mound loss throwing all six innings giving up the seven runs off seven hits, but struck out seven as well. He was credited for two earned runs as the Teal had three errors.
Next action for the Teal is Tuesday, July 8 when they head to Colman to face the As and then theyll return home Thursday, July to host the Woodducks at 7:30. Sunday, they go to Humboldt to face the Gamecocks at 5 p.m.
The rained out game with Colman from June 5 will be finished on Monday, July 14 at 7 pm.
