Win over Gang, lose to PBR

Flandreaus Blue Teal had to settle for a split last week winning over the Canova Gang, 8-1 and then taking a loss to Dell Rapids PBR on Sunday, 4-3.
This week the Blue Teal, 7-6, were to play a solo road game Tuesday at Madison. First pitch is 7:30 pm.

Blue Teal 8, Gang 1
BERESFORD The Blue Teal held Class B number 3 Canova to a lone 7th seventh run in their 8-1 win over the Gang.
Due to wet fields, game was moved to Beresford from Flandreau as it was the only site open and dry for the game that evening.
Tanner Christenson had a big night batting 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a pair of singles scoring two RBI. Emmott Nathan added a two-run home run. Sam Gassman doubled for two RBI and Kolby Peters batted a double and a single for one RBI.
The Blue Teal garnered 11 team hits, only struck out twice and took three walks.
Tash Lunday went the distance on the mound giving up 11 hits, three walks, striking out five and allowing the lone Canova run.

PBR 4, Blue Teal 3
Tied at 3 in the bottom of the sixth, PBR scored a run and the Blue Teal couldnt retake the lead in a 4-3 loss to the number one team in Class B, Dell Rapids PBR.
They had their chance though. In the bottom of the ninth, the Teal had the bases loaded but couldnt bring any runners in.
Tristan Peters suffered the loss throwing seven innings. He struck out six, walked two and gave up nine hits on the four runs. Kolby Peters closed out the game and didnt give up any hits against the three batters faced.
The Teals Sam Gassman batted 3-for-4 on the night and Emmott Nathan was 2-for-2. Kolby Peters slammed out a triple and had an RBI.
Flandreau collectively had 12 hits to PBRs nine and struck out eight times.
