Cardinals even record at seven

The Madison Broncos overcame a deficit to defeat the Cardinals, but Flandreau bounced back and took a win over the Dell Rapids Mudcats.
Flandreau was to host Canova on Tuesday at 7:30 pm at Cardinal Field in Flandreau City Park.

Cardinals 11, Madison 12
MADISON The Madison Broncos came from behind in the ninth inning to top the Cardinals, 12-11 on Tuesday, June 26.
Flandreau held an 11-8 lead heading into the bottom half of the ninth and with bases loaded, a Bronco earned a single to walk-off the game.
Drew Weber was the starting Cardinal pitcher throwing five innings. He allowed three runs off seven hits while walking four and striking out three Broncos.
Tison Burggraff pitched a lone inning allowing two runs off one hit. JaColby Anderson took the loss giving up seven hits and seven runs.
Bret Severtson belted out a three RBI home run. Other hits came from the bats of Austin Koening, Noel Burgos and Beau Severtson (2 RBI), all with a pair of singles.

Cardinals 3, Mudcats 0
FLANDREAU The Cardinals blanked the Dell Rapids Mudcats on Sunday by scoring a run in the third and adding two late game insurance runs.
Final was 3-0 to raise the Cardinals season record to 7-7.
Bret Severtson held the Mudcats to just five hits and fanned six batters in the win being the lone Cardinal pitcher on the mound.
Brian McGuire and Beau Severtson both hit 2-for-3 as the Cardinals had nine singles in the win.
