Record even at 6-6 for Cardinals; back home Sunday

Flandreaus Cardinals were on the road last week at Colman and played a doubleheader at Humboldt to close the week with a 2-1 mark.
The Cardinals, now 6-6 on the year, are on the road again this week playing at the Madison Broncos on Thursday before they return home Sunday to face the Dell Rapids Mudcats in a 5 p.m. game.

Vs. As
COLMAN The Cardinals found no trouble in defeating the As, 10-2 at the Field of Dreams diamond, Colman.
Kasen Grengs was the Cardinals starting pitcher throwing six of the seven innings. He walked one and struck out three As and gave up six hits and a lone run.
He was relieved in the seventh by Devon Burggraff who allowed the other run from a Colman home run.
Flandreaus 12 hits came off the bats fof Noel Burgos and Curt Anderson with doubles. Burgos was 4-for-4 adding three singles. Anderson ended the game with another single along with Luke Gassman, Beau Severtson, Austin King, Brian McGuire, Austin Koening, Jacob Patterson, who all had one-base hits.
No individual stats were available from Colman. The As had seven team hits.

Vs. Wood Ducks
HUMBOLDT The Cardinals and the Wood Ducks split a doubleheader contest Sunday afternoon in Humboldt.
Bret Severtson pitched the 12-5 Cardinal win throwing all seven innings and fanning 13 Ducks enroute to the Cornbelt League win.
He gave out seven hits (one HR) and two walks to the 28 batters he faced.
Flandreau won the first game 12-5 using 16 hits. Noel Burgos was the top Cardinal batter hitting 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI. He also scored two runs. Jacob Patterson had a hit and two walks in his three at bats and had three RBI.
Luke Gassman also had an extra base hit.
In the other game, the Wood Ducks narrowly got by the Cardinals taking a 4-3 win.
Noel Burgos took the loss on the mound coming in relief for starter Curt Anderson. Anderson threw four and one-third innings striking out three, walking one and giving up only three hits and one run.
In his two and two-third innings, Burgos gave out five hits, three runs, struck out one and walked one Wood Duck.
Jacob Patterson and Bret Severtson each belted out a double but the Cardinals only had six team hits in the game. Severtson also had a single as did Keith Cutler, Tim Huber, Austin King.
