Flandreaus 17U team had a tough week on the diamond losing all three competitions they played in.
June 16 they lost to Elkton 6-5, June 20 to Dell Rapids 13-11 and then to Baltic on Saturday, 11-3. All three games were on the road.
ELKTON Elktons 17U team, down 5-4 heading into the final inning, came from behind to defeat Flandreau, 6-5, Monday, June 16.
Flandreau rattled off eight hits including doubles from Jake Hamilton and Tyton Peters. Tate Hammer was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.
Elkton managed four hits and walked nine times.
Tate Hammer threw three innings as the starter giving up four runs off two hits and four walks. He struck out two batters. Relieving him was Trevor Peters for an inning, walking two and striking out two.
Tyton Peters took the loss on the mound throwing two and one-third innings. He gave up two hits and the go ahead runs while striking out three. Xavier Bien came in for the final out.
DELL RAPIDS Both teams swatted out 16 hits in the high-scoring affair, but Dell Rapids came out on top, 13-11.
Flandreau hit a trio of doubles coming from Mason Wright, Jake Hamilton and Tate Hammer.
Hammer and Emmett Skroch both had three hits and Tyton Peters had three RBI.
Peters and Skroch were both on the mound and combined for seven strikeouts, four walks and all 13 runs.
BALTIC Flandreau could only get five hits off the Baltic pitchers taking an 11-3 loss Saturday afternoon.
Tyton Peters had two singles to lead Flandreau. Mason Wright, Emmett Skroch and Jake Hamilton also singled.
Baltic scored all 11 runs and nine hits off Flandreaus Tate Hammer.
Flandreau had six errors in the contest.
