17u open season with huge win

HUMBOLDT Flandreaus 17 and under baseball team started the season on the right path by paving a big win over West Central Gold, 13-1 on Wednesday, June 4.
Tyton Peters earned the one-hit one-run win off the mound. He also fanned eight West Central batters.
Flandreaus Xavier Bien settled in at the plate batting 3-for-4, all one-base hits. Peters had a double in the game and two RBI. Tate Hammer also collected a pair of singles.
The team also combined to steal 21 bases to go along with their 11 hits.
Flandreau scored in all five innings with the big inning of six runs in the top of the fifth. West Centrals lone run came in the bottom of the fourth.
Their coach is Jeremiah Peterson.
