Due to cold, windy and blustery weather later in the week, the Hawks only participated in one meet and that was Monday, May 12 in Dell Rapids.
The Dakota Valley Conference meet is rescheduled at Deubrook this Thursday, May 22.
DELL RAPIDS Crystal Silva-Dominguez was a four-time gold medal winner at the Dell Rapids Invitational in the only track action for Colman-Egan last week.
The Colman-Egan sophomore won the 100 meter dash, 12.87 and then teamed up for three relay wins.
She anchored both the 4×100 with teammates Elaina Rhode, Finley Luze and Brynlee Landis (51.89) and the 4×200 with Avery Baumberger, Luze and Landis (1:48.41). Her medley relay team along with Baumberger and Luze running the 200s and Landis running the 800, won in time of 4:28.56.
Quinn Meyer had a personal best jump of 54 to win that event besting the second place finisher by seven inches.
The Hawk gals took second place in the team standings with 101 points. Canton won the event with 114 and Dell Rapids came in third at 97 points.
The boys team scored 77 points and took fourth place behind Canton, Tri-Valley and Dell Rapids.
Sutton Bunde was a double winner in the 800 and 1600 in times of 2:05.58 and 4:44.97 respectively. Chris Lee won the 100 in 10.90.
Teammates Jack Mousel, Jackson Zwart, Mikano Lee and Jase Mousel took first place and broke a 2017 school record in the 4×400. Their new time is 3:27.58.
The 4×100 (44.58) and 4×200 (1:33.9) also won these events and set personal records in doing so.
Heading into the end of the season, the boys 4×100, 4×200, 4×400 and medley team all sit in first place on the Class B Top Performance Lists for the season so far. Their 4×800 team is placed at 13th. These standings are current as of Friday, May 16.
The girls are firts on the Class B Top Performance list in both the 4×200 and 4×400 relays.
