PIPESTONE Flandreaus Blue Teal took an out-of-state loss on May 7 losing to the Pipestone As, 9-4.
Flandreau opened the game with two runs in the first inning. The As opened their half of the inning scoring six runs and the Teal couldnt recovered from the deficit.
Emmot Nathan pitched seven of the eight innings taking the loss for the Blue Teal. He walked eight, allowed seven runs and seven hits. Kelly Lewis relieved Nathan and allowed two runs.
Both teams garnered seven hits.
Tash Lunday was 2-for-4 at the plate, both singles, for the Blue Teal. He also had two RBI. Earning doubles were Kolby Peters and Sam Gassman. The Teal stole four bases throughout the contest.
