End of season wrestling awards announced
The Flier wrestling coaches awarded end of the season awards to the following:
Karter Headrick was named Boys MVP, took 6th place at Class B State meet and 1st team Big East Conference
Zach Pederson was chosen as Most Improved Wrestler, was a state qualifier and was 1st team Big East Conference
Justin Klein was a state qualifier and chosen 2nd team Big East Conference
Teague Bergjord received the Blaine Bennett Award, was a state qualifier and chosen 2nd team Big East Conference
Emisael Bonilla was chosen to the 2nd team Big East Conference.
Preston Meyer was honorable mention in the Big East Conference
Dalin Billmeier was chosen the Rookie of Year
Gabe Frias was presented with the Hustle award
Tyton Peters was a state qualifier
Preston Meyer was honorable mention in the Big East Conference
Tenley Quick was chosen as Girls MVP and was honorable mention in the Big East Conference
Milestones for individual wrestlers.
Headrick recorded his 150th win and finished sixth in school history with 181 career wins. He moved to second in school history with 138 career pins (win by fall) and was four pins shy of the school record.
Klein and Bergjord both recorded their 100th career wins during their junior season

Hawks basketball receive end of season awards
End of basketball season awards at Colman-Egan include:
Brynlee Landis being named to the Class B All-State Second Team, First Team Dakota Valley Conference and Dakota Valley Conference MVP.
Kaylee Voelker was selected to the Dakota Valley Conference Second Team
Jolie Flatten was selected as Dakota Valley Conference Honorable Mention.
Also Voelker was chosen to play in the 3 Class Shootout All-Star game in Salem recently and was named MVP of Class B. She had 7 three pointers with a total of 23 points. The Class B team lost to the Class AA team, 79-80.
Voelker also played in the South Dakota vs. Nebraska Battle of the Border All-Star Game at Mount Marty. The South Dakota team won 85-82. She was runner up in the 3 point contest.
Chosen for the Brookings Registers All-Register team was Landis with Voelker and Flatten as honorable mention.
For the boys team, Jase Mousel was selected as Class B All-State Honorable Mention and Second Team Dakota Valley Conference
Jack Mousel and Jackson Zwart were selected to Third Team Dakota Valley Conference
Caden Zwart was named Dakota Valley Conference Honorable Mention
Chosen for the Brookings Registers All-Register team was Jase Mousel and Zwart. Honorable mention was given to Jack Mousel and Caden Zwart.
Post season Honors for Flier Basketball players
Post season honors have been announced for several Flier girls and boys basketball players:
Morgan Sheppard was named to Class A All-State Honorable Mention; Big East All-Conference First Team and Lake Central All-Conference.
Sadie Iott was chosen Big East All-Conference First Team and Lake Central All-Conference.
Hannah Krull was chosen to the Big East All-Conference Third Team.
Named to Academic All-State were seniors Josie Hamilton and Sadie Iott.
Chosen for the Brookings Registers All-Register team was Sheppard with Iott as honorable mention.
Paul Parsley was named to the Lake Central All Conference and Big East All Conference – First team
Luke Sheppard was named to the Big East All Conference Second team
Micah Otto and Alfie Henderson were chosen as Big East All Conference Honorable Mention
CocaCola Unsung Hero Awards were given to Pedro Barona, Kody Kneebone, Nate Hobbie and Estephan Nelson
Chosen for the Brookings Registers All-Register honorable mention team were Parsley and Sheppard.
