Community fundraiser to show love for Rosendahl family

At just 45-years-old, Andy Rosendahl of Pipestone believed 2025 would be another good year with his young family. Get up, go to work, keep his trucks running, and make sure Rosendahl Trucking stayed on the road.
Hes hauled hogs his entire career and made a lot of friends across the county and region.
Everyone knows Andy, it seems, said close friend Shari Hammer.
But on January 6, everything changed. A hemorrhagic stroke early that day sent him first to Sanford in Sioux Falls. He was then moved to Madonna Rehabilitation Facility in Omaha for intensive therapy.
Hes made incredible strides in the last two months, Hammer said. He can walk now, but still cant move his left side. Hes working so hard, though, and has a long road ahead. But if anyone can do it, its Andy. He just lights up a room the nicest guy, a good-hearted guy.
Now, Hammer, her husband, and their businessalong with several others are rallying for him. BlueJays, Farmer Trucking, Bootsma Country Machine, and Double D Gravel are hosting a breakfast buffet fundraiser. The event will include silent and live auctions and a raffle for a 2025 Ranger to help his family through this.
Its crazy how many people want to help. The donations, the supportits unbelievable.
Rosendahl, married with three kids, including a senior and an eighth-grader at home, is fighting his way back. Everyones hoping hell make it to the event.
No one knows what the next few months will bring, but those closest to him do know one thing for sure:
Andy would be the first one in line to help if it were any of us, Hammer said.

The fundraiser is scheduled for March 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Janklow Community Center in Flandreau. The live auction begins at 12:30 p.m., and the silent auction closes at 1 p.m.
