Hawk boys stopped in Region 3B play

Colman-Egan held off Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, 46-37, but couldnt get past Dell Rapids St. Mary in the region finals, 69-59. and dropped out of further play.
Colman-Egan was down 15-19 after one quarter and set the half time score tied at 34.
Toward the end of the third and beginning of the fourth, the Hawks rattled off 11 unanswered points until the Cardinals called a time out around the six minute mark. It was then, they took over the scoring spree. Over those final six minutes of the game, the Hawks were outscored, 17-4.
The Hawks had four players score double digits in the effort with Jase Mousel leading the way at 21. Jackson Zwart hit for 11 and Caden Zwart and Jack Mousel both scored 10 points.
Jackson Zwart grabbed down eight rebounds and Caden Zwart made four assists.
They outperformed the Cardinals in shooting percentages with 50 percent to DRSMs 43.
The prior night, Colman-Egan was at Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and took the win. No stats were available for this game.
St. Marys takes a 21-1 record into the SoDak 16 as the number two seed. Their lone loss of the season came to top seeded Castlewood.
The Hawks end their season 11-11. Seniors playing in their final game were Jase Mousel, Jack Mousel, Taylor Kreich, Jackson Zwart, Kayden McLaughlin and Carson Voelker.
