Hawk boys win a pair

The Hawks had a pair of games last week just prior to seeing their season wind down. They found no troubles in winning over both Iroquois/Lake Preston and Canistota.
The boys team will host Sioux Falls Lutheran on Friday to wrap up the regular season and then begin regional play March 3, 4 and 7.

COLMAN The Hawks won over Iroquois/Lake Preston on Monday, Feb. 17 on the home court, 77-60.
CE held a one-point first quarter edge, 14-13 and then amassed 18 points to the Sharks 11 in the second period.
In the third quarter, the Hawks exploded for 26 points and held I/LP to 17 to seal the win. Both teams scored 19 fourth quarter points.
Leading the Hawks was Jase Mousels 32 points and 10 rebounds. He was followed up by Jack Mousel with 20 points, nine boards, and Caden Zwart with 11 points and six assists. Jackson Zwart helped the top scorers with six assists and led all players with his 15 rebounds.

CANISTOTA In another 77 point scoring spree, the Hawks won over Canistota, 77-49 on Friday, Feb. 21.
Full stats were not yet available, but Jase Mousel scored 25 Hawks points. Jackson Zwart added 14 points and Jack Mousel and Caden Zwart both put in 11 counters. Coming off the bench, Julian Allen scored four three pointers for 12 points.
Canistotas Brady Scott scored 23 points and Jaden Kleinsasser put in 11 points.
