Boys get the win over E-LB

ELKTON The Fliers kept steadily ahead of Elkton-Lake Benton last Friday on the Elks court and came home 57-38 victors.
We shot the ball well against Elkton and that makes everything easier in basketball, noted Coach Brendan Sheppard.
We were able to get out in transition and get some layups early in the game.
With 16 points, senior Micah Otto topped the Flier scoring effort. Paull Parsley put in 11 and made eight rebounds while Xavier Bien scored 10 and had seven boards.
Parsley was in a giving mood with 10 assists, but was also into taking with four steals.
The Fliers shot an honorable 55 percent from the field, but only made 50 percent of free throws awarded (7 of 14). ELB shot 31 percent.
Flandreau lead at all quarter stops, 13-9, 30-15, 46-32.
Our defense was fantastic, especially in the first half. Kody Kneebone limited Elktons top scorer (Tanner Drietz) to only three points for the game.
The defense also grabbed 24 rebounds along with three on offense. Elkton-Lake Benton had 20 total rebounds.
The Elks were led by 12 points from Joseph Nibbs.
Flandreau took a loss in the JV game, 38-34.
Tate Hammer put in 13 points and Trevor Peters added eight.
