The Chester branch of Wilbur-Ellis, a global holding company with divisions in agribusiness, specialty chemicals and ingredients, and feed, continues to give back to the broader Moody County community.
The Team of Angels and Libertys Troops were recent recipients of two $2,000 donations from local Wilbur-Ellis sales representative Mike Blum.
The company has been giving to local organizations for the past ten years through its Start Strong Stay Strong Pink Seed Promotion, in which a portion of the cost of soybean seed treatment for the customer goes back to different local cancer-based organizations.
The Team of Angels offers unique support for families countywide experiencing cancer as well as other medical crises. Libertys Troops is a Flandreau-based nonprofit that helps small children fight big battles, its website states. Most often, it is through a cancer diagnosis.
Both of these organizations are very worthy of our support for what they bring to the local community, said Blum.
Wilbur-Ellis, he added, is committed to being an active part of the communities it serves. To date, it has donated over $80,000 to local organizations through its Pink Seed promotion.
The program has surpassed our expectations, and we are in awe of the support from our customers, suppliers, and team members who have made this program so successful.
