GARRETSON The Fliers finished the dual wrestling season with a record of 10-7 after two resounding losses last week on the mat.
The Fliers were trounced by Tri-Valley, 75-6 with the lone score coming when Asael Garreau won by forfeit at 150. Flandreau gave up 30 points via forfeits.
Flandreau also lost to Garretson, by a 58-18 score. Flier points came from Rhyder Behnkes 1:56 pin over Martin Welch at 215, and forfeit wins by Justin Klein at 175 and Gabe Frias at 138.
Kingsbury County was eligible to attend the State Dual tournament held last weekend and was unable to attend the quad.
Weve been battling some injuries and theres ben some sickness going through the team, said Coach Cody Chamblin.
Chamblin will now regroup his grapplers and prepare for the Region 3B meet Saturday at McCook Central Schools in Salem.
Were looking at getting everyone healthy and ready for the final push at regions this weekend.
Prior to that, Tenley Quick will compete in the girls regional tournament on Thursday, Feb. 20 also in Salem.
The top four in each weight division advance to the State B meet held February 27-28, March 1 at The Monument in Rapid City.
