Hawk boys stop MCM

COLMAN The Hawk boys basketball team doubled up the score after one period of play and held on for a 66-53 win over the Class A McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars.
The game was held Tuesday, January 21.
Afer a quarter, the Hawks led 12-6, but MCM came back and tied the score at 25 all heading into the locker room.
The Hawks outscored the visitors 19-17 in the third and 22-11 in the final frame to earn the win.
The Hawks shot 52% on the night and were 61 % from the charity stripe.
The brought down 29 team rebounds of which Jackson Zwart made 11. He had a double double on the night with 23 points.
Jase Mousel followed up with 17 points and six boards. Four team members each made four assists: Mousel, Taylor Kreich, Caden Zwart and Jack Mousel.
